I am a frequent steering wheel that usually enjoys executive class flights due to service, comfort and food and exclusive drinks that come with experience.
However, these days, I have been more attentive where I spend my dollars earned with so much effort, especially when some advantages of business class are nothing to write.
So, when I ran into a reasonable economic flight in Porter Airlines from Toronto to Los Angeles in December, I knew I had to take advantage of the agreement. The round trip flight cost around $ 460 CAD, which breaks down to around $ 160 USD in each direction.
Somehow, my economic experience with the Canadian airline was as good as the business class trips I have been.
The seats were not perfect, but I had a lot of space to feel comfortable
One of the main advantages of this flight was that the plane he was in had no intermediate seats. Then, I could choose between a window or a seat seat (I chose the latter).
As a result, the plane felt more spacious, and it was not an annoyance to enter and leave my seat to access the bathroom. I would only want the leather seat to have more cushion so that the four -hour trip is more comfortable.
I was surprised that I had access to free Wifi
Most airlines charge for Wi -Fi access, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that, as a member of the Free Vipter Rewards Program, Internet access was free for the entire flight.
However, even those without a rewards account could access free Wi -Fi seeing an advertisement every 30 minutes.
Internet connectivity caused time to go quickly as I could do a job or see Netflix on my phone.
Having access to transmission platforms was a great advantage, especially because it was disappointed by movies and programs available to see through the airline.
I enjoyed free snacks, drinks and alcoholic beverages.
I had to choose between sandwiches such as butter cookies, Fava Cheddar beans and roasted almonds. Tiffany Leigh
Porter Airlines offers all passengers sandwiches, drinks and alcoholic beverages.
On my flight, I could choose between snacks such as butter cookies, Fava Cheddar beans and roasted almonds. I also appreciated that the airline highlighted local Canadian alcohol brands such as Jackson Triggs Wine and Steam Whistle or Beau’s Beers.
The drink also felt very generous.
However, the food I bought was not worth it
The cheese was good, but the cookies took most of the dish. Tiffany Leigh
After taking a snack, I still had a little hunger, so I decided to buy one of the meals prepared in the menu.
I chose the cheese dish, which cost $ 12 CAD (around $ 8.40 USD). The description said that a local cheesero had curated the varieties.
Although the cheese was delicious and tasty, I could not find any information about what guys I was eating. Ultimately, I did not think that the size of the small portion was worth the price, especially when the cookies took most of the tray.
I enjoyed my flight with Porter Airlines
Due to the smallest size of the plane (and the number of respective passengers on board), entering and leaving the plane was also fast and easy.
In general, I really appreciated the quality of complementary foods and drinks and the ease of access to free Wi -Fi.
The only important inconvenience of the flight was that the seat was not super comfortable, but next time, I will bring a neck pillow to sit for a long flight.
Otherwise, I will definitely reserve with Porter if I travel to destinations within two hours of Toronto.
I had a pleasant flight and I would recommend it to friends and family if they look for a profitable alternative to fly.
