Allianz Partners teams up with Mitsui Sumitomo in New Zealand

The agreement will begin on April 1, and intends to strengthen the capabilities of both companies in travel insurance and assistance space, as well as the diversification of the range of products offered.

The several years agreement will cause Allianz Partners to retain its existing services provision model in New Zealand, while using MSI’s experience in Risk Management and International Subscription.

The Association will also support MSI’s own plans to expand its presence in the regional travel insurance sector.
Kevin Blyth, managing director of Allianz Partners New Zealand, said the association represents a “significant step in our commitment to offer innovative insurance solutions in New Zealand.”

Meanwhile, David Hall, head of MSI distribution in Australia and New Zealand, added that “travel insurance is part of the central growth strategy (MSI) in the region”, and that “will work with Allianz partners to identify other opportunities to bring products focused on the client to the New Zealand market.”

The New Zealand government recently relaxed visa rules for digital nomads.
