Qatar Insurance Company (QIC) has reported a 50% leap in outgoing travelers who obtain travel insurance for their EID trips, compared to the same period in 2024, with a coverage that extends until the beginning of April 2025.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and is expected to begin on March 30 or March 31, 2025, which lasts three days.
Europe is the best option for QIC insured this EID, with more than 55% planning to visit at least one of the 29 Schengen countries. Poland leads the list of Schengen tendency destinations during this time, followed by France, Germany, Croatia and Portugal. Outside the Schengen area, the United Kingdom remains the preferred eid destination for travelers insured by QIC.
QIC data shows that the nationals of Saudi Arabia, India, Algeria, Turkey and the United States are among the main travel insurance buyers to visit this EID, including both the incoming travel insurance and the mandatory medical insurance of visitors.
