Las Vegas (KTNV) – As the summer trip season approaches, many travelers are looking for the best air ticket offers. But with hidden rates accumulating, is there really a budget airline that offers the best value?

At Harry Reid International Airport, passengers shared their frustration with additional airline positions that can quickly convert a low -cost ticket into an expensive trip.

“It’s super annoying, all these additional charges,” said Amandeep Sajan. “When you start reserving, see another charge here and another position there, and the price is very different from what they announce.”

Stefon Clanton echoed similar concerns, noting that low -cost airlines often charge for basic services. “Choose a cheaper airline, and then begin to accumulate in the rates. You have to pay for water, soft drinks and even snacks.”

He looked at four main operators: spirit, border, southwest and Delta. Each flight was reserved for the same date and time, with a registered bag aggregate when necessary and the selection of seats was included.

The airline with the lowest total cost? Southwest Airlines. But that is about to change.

As of May 28, Southwest will end its “Bags Free” Bags, a movement that travel experts say it highlights how profitable the profitable luggage rates for airlines have become profitable.

“We are really going to see what happens when Southwest removes his two free reviewed bags,” said travel expert Audrey Kohout, Luggage Forward co-cement. “I do not hope that the prices of the tickets fall, I hope you only add the cost of the reviewed bags.”

With Southwest ready to change its luggage policy, Frontier Airlines emerged as the next most affordable option in our comparison, closely followed by Delta. However, the best airline for travelers depends on individual needs.

“If you only need to get from point to point B, there are still cheap ways to do it in the spirit or the border,” Kohout explained. “But if you are bringing bags, I could end up spending more on luggage rates than in the real ticket.”

Not only the reviewed luggage increases costs: transport rates, seats selection and other accessories can quickly inflate the price of a ticket.

“There is really no ‘budget airline’ for most travelers if you bring one or two bags,” Kohout said. “But if you travel light, spirit or border they will generally cost less than American, United or Delta.”

How to save in air tickets

As air rates prices continue to increase, experts recommend taking advantage of airline loyalty programs to obtain advantages such as free control bags.

“Delta has different clubs such as Skymiles, so you can get your free luggage,” Closa said. “And even the sandwiches they charge seem affordable.”

Others recommend reserving grouped offers.

“We have a hotel and airline package,” Woooldridge said. “My husband and I paid a little more than $ 2,000. It was a great offer.”

Before booking their next flight, experts advise comparing prices in multiple airlines and factorization in all additional rates, their first option may not be the cheapest after all.
