Queenslanders have several carriers available for air trips to the United Kingdom and Europe. However, Qatar Airways offers a convincing option with an award -winning cabin, a better airport of its class and an attractive scale program.
Qatar Airways operates non -scales between Brisbane and Doha for direct access to Qatar and beyond its global network.
It is a skill to make a 14 -hour flight feel like a blip, and the Qsuite could have ruined me for future flyers. Keep reading to find out why.
Check-in and approach
With the renewal of the International Terminal in Progreso, the Check-in and the approach of Qatar Airways are perfect and without stress.
Application users can register online or use self -service airport kiosks to generate a boarding pass and bag labels for the bag drop section.
Passengers still need to eliminate electronic and liquid devices for the security exam before entering smartgates for passport and facial recognition.
In the air, the International Terminal of the Brisbane airport is quiet and without congestion with many options of seats or opportunities to stretch your legs. Some stores are closed in the afternoon, but most of the restaurants, stores and tax -free services are still open for travelers.
QR899 leaves the door 80, which is beaten in the middle of the action, so it can wander and navigate before its leisure before addressing, which begins an hour before the exit.
The shipment for this flight in groups 1–4 was ridiculously efficient with all the passengers sitting on board 20 minutes before the exit. The flight was also less than 14 hours, arriving an hour earlier than scheduled.
Comfort on board
Is there anything better than listening to the magic word “update”? I am arriving at the Qatar Airways Executive Cabin at the door and I am more than excited to turn left and set myself in my seat.

Configured in a 1-2-1 design on a B777-300ER plane, each QSUITE presents a bed with a luxury bedding, a 22-inch touch screen and media console, multiple positions, NFC and HDMI ports and power in the seat.
I am in a single suite and twin, double and quadruple arrangements are also available.
Flight attendees Janelle and Richard appear to passengers, sliding down the cabin and offering welcome drinks and soft drink towels.
Other luxury touches include diptyque services, which are also presented in the business class bathrooms of generous size, and soft gray cotton cotton and navy blue room and the White Company shoes.
Qsuite seats can be configured in several different ways through automatic controls. A sliding screen offers privacy to sleep and retire on your cocoon.
It is incredibly comfortable and the position of the bed with liquor is very conducive to sleeping in the sky. If you have a little cold as me, the combination of pajamas, pillows, luxury blankets and ample space in a liar position? Not to mention the ‘Do not bother’ button.
The twin suites can also be joined by reducing the partition, which benefited the passengers by my side with a six -month -old boy, offering privacy and safety for the three family.
Fun things
The Oryx One entertainment system is available from door to door and offers more than 6,000 options in movies, television programs, audio, music, games and applications, including a section for cured children, accessible through phones or screen controls. You can also monitor your flight map and consult the destination information.
The films are divided by gender and language and include Bollywood and Arabic content, as well as new releases. Comfortable headphones and noise cancers are a happy bonus.
The security video presents the Hollywood actor Kevin Hart along with other known faces to demonstrate the characteristics of the airplanes and show some of the network destinations, including Sydney.
Qsuite is also well equipped for those who work in the air with a lot of space to use and load laptops and other devices, along with fast and fast Wi-Fi through Starlink available after takeoff to keep it connected in the sky.
Cold food
Qsuite dying is the letter already requested, served when you want. Flight attendees will verify when and what you want to eat and for any dietary requirement.
I asked for a special vegan meal, which was served in three courses in white bedding with a treal for the environment, true porcelain and cutlery and small salt and pepper mills.
The first meal began with a champagne drink and a small bowl of nuts followed by a fun bouche (not vegan but beautifully presented).
It consisted of a salad and a bread roll with its choice of balsamic vinegar and oil mixture (I chose spicy), followed by a vegan ravioles and a slice of apple cake and spicy cinnamon.
Qsuite’s gastronomic options throughout the day on my flight presented a selection of carrot and ginger soup, Mezze and Queensland prawns to begin with; Beech meat cheeks, chicken yield, lobsterrmidor and spinach and ricotta ravioli for the main dish and a source of cheese, raspberry and white chocolate mousse cake, fresh berries or bird ice cream.
I slept through light food (Thai basil, Barramundi, afternoon tea or quinoa salad) but woke up in time for breakfast, just before the TouchDown in Doha.
My vegan dish option was the vegan yogurt with rolled blueberry, tropical fruit in sliced fruit and a roll of bread with jam. For the main course, spinach frivers with beans and vegetables that accompany it served me.
The main two -plates Qsuite breakfast options included Greek yogurt with granola and blueberry compote, seasonal fruits, breakfast cereals and cold cuts for entrants and tastes of a cheese tortilla, avocado and smoked salmon in sourdoough, Bircher samples or cinnamon brioche.
The drinks list is equally extensive with cold and hot and hot coffee (including Qatari Karak Chai) and ctaquintos along with alcoholic beverages.
The meals are presented and raised beautifully, they are served in courses without hurrying, however, the dishes and the vessels are quickly carried when they end.

The service on board
The service is really exceptional. The entire Qsuite cabin team is coordinated without problems, inventing beds and delivering meals from three dishes with precision and efficiency with many tasks that occur without realizing. For example, I leave the suite and return to find the bedding has been added or subtracted quickly while I was out.
The crew of the Qsuite, Janelle and Richard cabin are attentive and friendly, without being annoying, with genuine and personalized care towards all passengers, from babies to tired adults.
Beyond the back of the lines and the cap -shaped cabin, the high service wraps an orderly arc around the Qsuite experience that covers it that is not only luxurious but also takes care of its nucleus.
With Qsuite Next Gen on the way in 2025, Qatar Airways will exceed one of the best business class experiences in heaven with its 2.0 model.
