GlobeAir says its private jet flights now bookable via airline GDS

The very light Jet European operator says that it is integrating a live private reserve option for key routes

With COVID-19 that still impact the tourism industry, Globeair says that it is filling the gap left by the planes, which is expected to operate only 40% of its usual number in January.

The Austrian very light plane operator says that the favorite routes, including the city of London, Amsterdam, Geneva-Paris and Munich-Hamburg, can now be reserved through the global distribution systems (GDS) used by travel agents and corporate travel planners. Connectivity is fed by WorldTicket (WT), according to a press release.

Bernhard Frangner, CEO Globeair, says: “Only with the presentation of a button, we are providing a safer alternative for some of the most demanded flight routes in Europe thanks to our flight availability and an impeccable customer service.”

Globeair flights will be listed under the W2 IATA code and will now be distributed to more than 550,000 travel suppliers worldwide, including Skyscanner, Expedia and Opodo.

Lasse Meilsoe, CEO of the group, of World Ticket, said: “It was terrible to see the impact that Covid-19 is having in our industry and airlines worldwide. Therefore, we are very happy to work with Globeair in this pioneering project and be able to sell their flights through all leading GDS suppliers. The innovation that Globeair has brought so far is the same innovation that allowed us to develop this unique GDS distribution documentation. We expect a lasting association. ”

Peer Winter, VP Business Development in WorldTicket added: “It is great to be part of this project in which both partners are establishing new standards in the industry, despite the unforeseen challenges of a global pandemic. WorldTicket and Globeair have created a unique sale opportunity for travel and travelers agents. Now they will have easy access to business charter directly in the GDS and do not have to interrupt or change their daily processes. “

“Being on the list in GDS systems is an opportunity to meet the demand for alternative flight options due to the decrease in commercial flight schedules and fill the gap,” said Dieter Pammer, director of Business Development at Globeair

Around seven out of ten airline tickets are sold through GDS worldwide.
